TG Media Organizer Privacy Policy

We built TG Media Organizer to be private by design. The extension never collects, stores, or transmits your personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Last updated: January 5, 2026

1. What we collect (website vs extension)

We separate the Chrome extension and the website:

  • Extension: scans media locally on web.telegram.org, does not send media or chat data to our servers.
  • Website/app: if you log in, we store your email and Google ID for optional account sync.
  • We do not collect Telegram messages, channel content, or media URLs.

2. How the extension works

The extension activates only on web.telegram.org. It reads what is already visible in your Telegram Web session, lets you filter media, and saves files directly to your device. We do not operate backend services to process your media.

Everything is manual: you choose what to download. The extension is not designed to bypass channel restrictions; if you cannot view an item in Telegram Web, it will not be available to download.

3. Permissions

We request minimal permissions for core functionality:

  • activeTab & scripting: To run the detection script on the Telegram tab.
  • host_permissions for web.telegram.org: To run exclusively on Telegram Web.

4. Cookies & analytics

The marketing site may set cookies for optional session-based login. If configured, Google Analytics (GA4) may set analytics cookies; you can block or clear them and still use the extension. The extension itself does not set tracking cookies for Telegram.

5. Data retention & deletion

Account data such as email and Google ID is stored only if you choose to log in. You can request deletion by contacting us.

We do not store your Telegram media. Files you download stay on your device; clearing your browser cache or local files removes them.
